The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Fighters Table

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, fresh DM the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a colorful mix of heroes, and a gripping narrative featuring angels, demons, and malevolent powers expanding in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Spoilers for the third episode of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

Episode 3 concluded with a major cliffhanger and introduced the initial group of adventurers who will separate from the primary party to undertake their own adventure, distinct from the other two tables.

This warrior group features Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis), Thimble (Laura), Tyranny (the cast member), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

With 13 cast members, it was obvious from the outset that maintaining everyone at one table would be impossible.

That’s why, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Prelude, intertwining the individual narratives before branching into three distinct groups: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Combat Party

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a classically intense battle-oriented narrative style where diplomatic options are few and far between.

At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might look mismatched, but the events of the latest installment make it clear why these five characters are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the team knows exactly where to go next after a brutal first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose death initiated the campaign’s events—exploited the foes for his own means, breaking into the hidden lair, assaulting Thimble, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

The traitor then paid off his obligations and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, north of the city, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as the companion and trusted friend, wants vengeance.
  • The adventurer knows the region and advises that it is a nasty environment.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate the fighter and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their position as key figures in House Halovar could assist the team access places they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character vowed a eternal obligation to The cleric for his rescue and will now go with him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are sought by the rulers that rule Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are known criminals.
  • The warrior and The cleric turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the clan.

This leaves them no alternative but to head to the northern region in pursuit of Casimir.
